Prince at 21 months old.
Growing up as a boy, I watched many of T.V. shows.  The one show that I always loved was The Roy Rogers Show.  I rode many of hours on my little horse back then thinking I was Roy on Trigger.  So when I finally had the opportunity to buy myself a horse, I was looking for only one.  A Palomino Stallion with the common sense and beauty of one of my childhood idols.  Through Stephanie and Westwood Farms, I wasn't only able to get the color and sex that I wanted.  I also got a horse from the bloodline of Trigger JR.  Roy had three horses that he would use in the movies and on the road for the shows.  There was Trigger, Trigger Jr, and Little Trigger.  I am honored and please to bring this horse to my farm for many years of happiness.  Prince is a beautiful Palomino Stallion.  Like his sire Golden Gambler, gambler1.jpg he is a perfect gentleman.  Prince is a calm, laid back stud.  He inherited his intelligency from his sire Golden Gambler and dam, Ivory's Cinderella.  ivoryscinderella.jpg
I have found him to be easily trainable and only wanting to try and please me.  Prince will park out, kiss, and smile on command.  He will learn more tricks as time goes by.  His barn manners are second to none.  He doesn't kick, bite, or try to tear down his stall.  When I purchased Prince, no one had ever been on  his back.  I got on his back within two days of buying him and he never bucked or reared up.  I rode him for about 10 minutes and he never took one step out of line.  He was also ridden by a friend of mine and Prince never acted up with him either.  He was a true beauty to watch move.

Prince does breathtakingly fast, smooth natural gaits at liberty.  He is homozygous for the agouti,  AA!  This means he will never produce black, smokey black, or smokey cream foals even when bred to a black mare.  Prince now has two new stall mates.  Amber's goat, Billy and a happy little chicken named Chick.

Prince is registered with:

KMSHA  #
*Foals out of registered KMSHA/SMHA mares are eligible for temporary papers until proven under saddle, at which time they will be inspected for gait and disposition and given permanent papers. The gelding book is still open.

TWHBEA  # 20702440
*Only accepts foals out of registered and bloodtyped TWHBEA mares.

IPWHR  # 1515
*Accepts foals out of TWHBEA, CRTWH, or unregistered purebred Tennessee Walking Horse mares only. SOUND HORSES ONLY. No padded, heavy shod, or sored horses are accepted into this registry.

PSHR  # 08-365
*Accepts gaited foals out of registered gaited parents of any breed. Any good-quality gaited horse is eligible for registration for a limited time.

I have never seen a horse that could read papers.  Having them registered only helps if you wish to sell your horse because of the value.  If you have a smooth gaited non registered horse and are interested in breeding to Prince, I would rather breed to her, than to a registered horse that is not as smooth.  His stud fee will be $250/LFG.  Mare care is $10 a day.  He will stand  at stud starting on 7-19-2010.

In the late 40’s, Roy bought a beautiful palomino Tennessee Walking Horse stallion that he named Trigger Jr. even though he was not related to Trigger.  Trigger Jr had a full range of crowd-pleasing tricks and could even dance.  Roy used him occasionally in films and extensively in personal appearances throughout the 50’s and 60’s. Roy used Trigger Jr. as a stud and raised some good palomino foals on his Happy Trails Ranch in Oro Grande, CA.  Randy Travis owned a grandson of Trigger Jr. and Triggerson, the performing horse Val Kilmer led onstage as a tribute to Roy during the Academy Awards show in March 1999, is a grandson of Trigger Jr.   If you would like to see Trigger Jr. he is still standing at the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum in Branson, MO
