Amber's Cheyenne

Cheyenne is a wonderful 9 year old mare, that stands at 59 inches.  She can go on a 25 mile trail ride or take you to the store for a cup of coffee.  I have ridden her on the highway and deep in the mountains.  She doesn't flinch when an Eighteen wheeler is only a couple feet away.  She has been exposed to cars, trucks, 4-wheelers, and motorcycles on the highway and it never has bothered her.  She's went through creeks and mudholes, up mountains and back down without losing her footing.  I have lassoed off her back and she just seems to know what to do.  Lay the reins down with her and she will move off your leg cues or stay in step with the other horses.  I have ridden her for many miles, but the true gift of this horse is when I watch my daughter, Amber ride her.  Her intelligence of knowing that a child or a begining rider is on her back is totally amazing.

Her gait is so super smooth that several friends and I have sipped coffee on her back, while riding.  She is smooth down low or in high gear.  She has been shown in the ring and has never once broke from her 4 beat saddle gait.  It is a true honor to own this horse, since she was born to pack kings on her back and not me.

Update:  Cheyenne was due to foal on April 23,2009.  She foaled on April 24, 2009 at 6:15am.  She was bred to a beautiful Cremello named Dakota Chance.  Please visit Ryder's page for some pics.

Cheyenne is registered with the
ISHR.  # 2212
